For those of you know my dad, you know that he loves spending time with his kids! With that in mind, we decided for his birthday this year we were going to do more of an event than individual gifts. After considering many different options, Nichole came up with the idea of going to the Botanical Gardens for their Garden aGlow that they do every year. Eric and I have never been able to go so we were pretty excited!! 
We ordered some pizza for a quick dinner and ended up opening a gift after all at dad's, then headed to the Botanical Gardens. We waited in a long line of cars while listing to some old school hip hop and finally got a front row parking spot and headed in. It was VERY cold, but they were serving hot chocolate and apple cider that helped warm us a bit.
The highlight of the night was definitely getting to see a real live reindeer!! Prancer himself was there at the garden and we even got to take a picture with him!!
After walking around for a couple hours, we went back to dad's for some birthday cake and we even ended up helping him decorate his tree. It was a great night out with the family and I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful dad!!

I love that you have a blog!! So fun! At the end of every year you can print it off into a book and make it your family journal!
